Disclaimer, terms & product safety

Please read this before enrolling in any Arm Optimize™ course or using the Arm Optimize Kit at home.

1. Private, self-pay educational program

ReImagine Method: Arm Optimize™ is a private out-of-pocket educational and therapeutic coaching program delivered by ReImagine OT. Tuition, kits, and 1-on-1 sessions are paid directly by the family or clinician at the time of purchase.

  • Fees are not billed to health insurance, Medicaid, or any national health service or third-party payer.
  • We do not issue superbills, insurance claims, prior authorizations, or reimbursement guarantees.
  • Purchase does not create a therapist–patient relationship and is not an episode of skilled therapy care.
  • All sales are educational in nature; access is granted per the terms shown at checkout.

2. Evidence-based clinical foundations

The program is built on evidence-based intervention models backed by pediatric clinical research in neuro-rehabilitation, motor learning, and neuroplasticity, and is used by families and clinicians in the United States, Italy, and internationally.

  • Course content reflects published pediatric rehabilitation and motor-learning literature.
  • All material is general education, not individualized medical or therapy advice for your child.
  • No specific outcome is promised. Results vary with diagnosis, age, participation, and the local care team.
  • Clinician-only modules are intended for licensed professionals practicing within their own scope and local regulations.

3. Scope boundary: what this program is not

This program does not replace in-person skilled therapy intensives, medical diagnosis, or hands-on physician care.

  • It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.
  • It does not substitute for occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, or medical appointments.
  • Keep your child's treating physician and therapists involved and informed throughout the program.
  • Never start, stop, or change a medical, orthotic, medication, or therapy plan based only on this course.
  • Seek in-person medical attention for any new, unexplained, or worsening concern.

4. Product safety and adverse reactions

Kit tools and therapy equipment are used at your own discretion, always with a responsible adult present and supervising.

  • Inspect the skin before and after every session with Coban, tape, or straps.
  • Check circulation regularly: capillary refill under two seconds, normal warmth and color, no swelling.
  • Stop immediately for numbness, tingling, throbbing pain, blue or pale skin, or a cold hand or fingers.
  • Never leave a wrap, tape, or strap in place during sleep or unsupervised time unless your local clinician has specifically instructed it.
  • Do not use kit tools over broken, infected, healing, or freshly post-surgical skin.

Adverse reaction protocol

Follow these steps if a child shows skin irritation, redness, circulatory changes, or an allergic response to Coban, tape, straps, or any therapy tool.

Do this immediately

  1. Stop the activity right away — do not finish the session or the timed set.
  2. Remove the wrap, tape, or strap completely. Cut it off carefully with blunt-tip scissors if it will not unwind; never pull hard on the limb.
  3. Discontinue all use of that material until a medical professional clears it — including any remaining wear time in the daily plan.
  4. Rinse the area with cool water and pat dry. Do not scrub, apply heat, or use creams or ointments unless your physician directed them.
  5. Reposition the arm in a comfortable, supported, neutral position and let the child rest.
  6. Recheck circulation after five minutes: color, warmth, capillary refill under two seconds, and normal sensation.
  7. Photograph and write down what happened — the material used, wear time, tension, symptoms, and how long recovery took.

Contact your pediatrician or primary physician when

  • Redness, welts, blistering, or a rash does not settle within about 30 minutes after removal.
  • The skin is broken, weeping, bruised, or painful to light touch.
  • Numbness, tingling, or weakness continues after the item is removed.
  • You suspect an allergy or sensitivity to adhesive, latex, or wrap material.
  • The same reaction happens more than once, even mildly — the plan needs to change before you continue.
  • The child has a condition or medication that affects skin integrity, circulation, or sensation.

Call emergency services or go to urgent care now if

  • The hand or fingers stay pale, blue, grey, cold, or numb after removal.
  • There is rapidly spreading swelling of the hand, arm, face, lips, or tongue.
  • The child has difficulty breathing, wheezing, hives spreading over the body, vomiting, or faintness — possible allergic reaction.
  • There is severe, escalating, or throbbing pain, or the child cannot move the fingers.
  • There is deep skin damage, an open wound, or signs of infection such as fever, heat, and pus.
